Hydro-Berlin at the 30th FH-DGGV Conference in Leipzig

From 10 to 13 March 2026, the 30th conference of the Hydrogeology Section of the DGGV (FH-DGGV) took place at the Kongresshalle am Zoo in Leipzig under the title “Groundwater and Water Security in Transition.” Experts from academia, public authorities, and professional practice discussed current developments in hydrogeology and water resources management.

Hydro-Berlin was also represented with two contributions. In a poster, we presented our cooperative monitoring platform ENOLA, which enables the centralized and shared management of groundwater data. The aim is to bring together data from different sources and support more efficient analysis in complex projects.

In his presentation, Dr. Paul Knöll introduced approaches for the automated plausibility checking of raw groundwater level data from the Berlin state monitoring network. Such methods can significantly facilitate the quality assurance of large monitoring datasets and help identify potential errors more quickly.

We were very pleased about the strong interest in our contributions and the many discussions during the conference, and we are taking away valuable impulses for the further development of ENOLA and future projects. Our sincere thanks go to the Hydrogeology Section of the DGGV and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research Leipzig for organizing this successful event.
